This leaves inline attachments, which seems to be an old discussion: Roll in Outlook - which seems to block both remote images and Base64: So far I've been using Base64 for three reasons it lets me create self contained templates (which are easy to share and maintain), they load in the gophish preview, and unlike remote images have a higher success rate of loading.
